  • Asparagus
  • Salt
  • Milk
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
After scraping the outer skin and tying up in bunches, throw the asparagus into salt and water. Put on to boil an hour before serving. After boiling for half an hour, drain and cut in pieces half an inch long. Put in a saucepan with enough milk to cover them.

Just before serving, add butter in which flour has been rubbed. Season with pepper and salt.
