Apricot Jam

  • 1 lb dried apricots
  • 4 pints boiling water
  • 3 lbs sugar
  • 3 ounces almonds, blanched (optional)
Pour boiling water on the dried apricots and let it stand in covered pan for 24 hours. Then boil fruit and liquor for 30 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add the sugar and almonds, if your little heart desires, and boil 1 1/2 hour longer.
