Angel Cake

  • 11 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, sifted once
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar, sifted 4 times
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Beat the egg whites until stiff and dry. Add sugar and then flour and cream of tartar. Add the vanilla. Bake in an ungreased pan for 40 minutes in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.
