Ambrosia
- 1 pound sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 cups milk
Make a syrup of the sugar until it is just ready to thread. Let it cool. Beat the egg yolks a little and then add the milk. Add this to the syrup and put on the fire. Boil without stirring until it goes into large lumps. Then, lower heat to a slow fire to thicken or even brown a bit.
