Almond Tart
- 9 egg yolks
- 1 lb sugar
- 3/4 lb almonds, grated
- 2 cups lady fingers, grated
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Rind of 1 lemon
- 9 egg whites
- Filling for the tart:
- 1 lb walnuts, chopped
- 2 egg whites
- Lemon juice to taste
- Sugar to taste
Mix the ingredients in the order given. Bake in 2 layers in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F.
