Albany Cakes
- 1 1/2 lb flour
- 1 1/2 lb brown sugar
- 1 1/2 lb butter
- 1 Tbsp lard
- 4 Tbsps powdered cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup milk
- Granulated sugar
Cream butter and sugar together. Add the rest of the ingredients. Dissolve the baking soda in milk.
Roll on extra flour very thin. Dip the face of each cake in granulated sugar. Bake slowly at 300°F in greased pans.
