Wine Sauce for Puddings

  • 6 tablespoonful of fine sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of wine
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Spice
  • Nutmeg
Take six tablespoonful of fine sugar, six tablespoons of wine, two tablespoons of butter, and spice to your liking. Stir all together until the butter is melted, then let it boil a few minutes, skim it until it becomes quite clear, and grate a nutmeg over it.
