Whole Wheat Nut Bread

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sweet milk
Mix all dry ingredients together, including nuts. Add milk and mix through and through. Last add melted butter, and beat all well. Bake in shallow tins, or in gem pans, for 1/2 hour in oven heated to 350F.
