Whip Syllabub

  • 3-4 whites of eggs
  • 1/2 pint of sweet cream
  • Loaf-sugar
  • Little lemon juice
Beat three or four whites of eggs to a froth. Take half a pint of sweet cream, and sweeten it with powdered loaf-sugar. Add the egg, with wine to your liking; add a moderate amount of lemon juice, and stir the whole till it froths.
