Wheaten Meal Rolls

  • 4 1/2 cups wheaten meal
  • 1 1/2 cups milk and water, mixed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small cup raisins, dates, or figs
Break eggs into bowl, beat thoroughly, add water and milk, and beat again through and through. Mix fruit with meal, and sprinkle lightly into eggs and milk. Mix completely, still using egg whip. Drop into hot, greased gem pans, using 1 tablespoon for each roll. Bake in a hot oven until a light brown. This amount will make 24 rolls.
