Vinegar Biscuits
- 2 quarts flour
- 1 large Tbsp lard or butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs, very lightly beaten
Put the baking soda in the vinegar and stir thoroughly. Slowly stir in the flour and lard or butter. Add the eggs. Make a dough with lukewarm water stiff enough to roll out. Cut with a biscuit cutter one inch thick. Bake in a quick oven at 400 degrees F.
