Sweet Potato Pone
- 3 large sweet potatoes
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 teaspoons allspice
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
Pare and grate potatoes, add boiling water and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and beat thoroughly; turn into greased, shallow baking pan, and bake in oven at 350°F., for approximately an hour.
