Stuffed Mushrooms

  • Large mushrooms
  • Small yellow onions
  • Bacon
  • Dash of garlic
  • Salt
  • White pepper
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter
Clean large mushrooms, cut off stems and peel. Chop stems fine together with a few small yellow onions, some bacon, a dash of garlic, salt, white pepper and a couple of tablespoons bread crumbs; add a moderate amount of finely chopped parsley and mix well. Rub inside of mushrooms with a little pepper and salt and sauce with the mixture. Place in a greased baking dish. Dot mushrooms with butter. Place the dish in another one so there will not be too much heat on the bottom and bake 1/2 hour. Serve in the dish as hot as possible on the "smorgasbord".
