Strawberry Pie No. 2
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cup berries
- whipped cream or 2 egg whites
Boil sugar and water, then add berries, and let boil up once again. Add cornstarch, which has been dissolved in a little cold water, and let boil until cornstarch is cooked. Pour into a crust which is already baked, cover with meringue or whipped cream, and let cool. This may be served hot if your little heart desires.
