Spiced Blueberries
- 3 pounds sugar
- 2 cups diluted vinegar
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon whole allspice
- 1 tablespoon stick cinnamon
- 5 pounds blueberries
Make a syrup of sugar, vinegar, and spices (in a bag). Cool add cleaned berries, heat slowly to simmering and cook gently until done. Cool quickly, let stand overnight. Pack fruit in jars, remove spice bag, heat syrup and pour atop berries. Seal.
