Shrewsberry Cakes
  • 1 cup butter (heaped)
  • 1 scant cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 ounce caraway seeds
  • 1 egg, beaten well
Roll very thin and cut into small cakes; prick them and bake in tins or shallow pans in a oven heated to 350F.
