Shortbread
- 1 pound butter
- 2 pounds flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 pound brown sugar
Beat butter to cream and dredge in flour and sugar gradually. Must be well-beaten. Roll out an inch thick. Pinch edge all around; prick with a fork; cut in small pieces.
