Shortbread
- 1 pound butter
- 2 pounds flour
- 1/2 pound brown sugar
- Sweet almonds
- Caraway comfits
Put butter into a basin, squeeze till quite soft, squeeze into it flour and sugar and almonds, chopped fine. Mix all well together, cut into cakes 1/2 an inch thick. Bake in a slow oven.
