Sauce Piquante
- 1 heaping tablespoon butter
- vegetable stock
- 2 olives
- 1 heaping tablespoon flour
- 1 small cucumbers pickle
- a few capers
- salt and pepper to taste
Melt butter, and when it bubbles, stir the flour into it. Cook until it turns a dark brown, taking care not to burn it. Add enough well seasoned vegetable stock to make sauce proper consistency, then pour into a granite saucepan. Add remaining ingredients, chopped fine, and season.
