Sally Lunn
- 1 quart flour
- 3 Tbsps yeast
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 ounces butter
- Milk
Sift the salt and flour together. Rub the butter into the flour. Add the remaining ingredients. Use just enough milk to make a tolerably stiff batter. Set it to rise up. When risen, pour into a mold and set to rise up again as light bread. Bake quickly at 400°F.
