Russian Rocks
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons hot water
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cups nut
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 cup dates
Cream butter and sugar, adding hot water. Beat eggs and add. Then sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. Last put in nuts and chopped dates. Drop from a spoon onto a buttered sheet. Bake in a oven heated to 350F 20 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
