Rusks
- 1 pint warm milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of yeast
- Flour
- 1 coffee cup butter
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
One pint warm milk, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of yeast, flour enough for a sponge. When light, melt together one coffee cup butter, 1 3/4 cups sugar, and nearly 1/2 teaspoon soda, flour enough to mold. When light, mold with as little handling as possible into cakes and let rise with love and patience again. Wash over with sweetened cream. Bake.
