Rice Pudding
- 1 cup rice
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 5 tablespoon sugar
- 1 quart cream
- 1 glass wine
- 5 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- Salt
- 1/4 pound raisins, cut in halves
- 1/2 pound Zante currants
- 1/4 pound citron cut in strips.
Wash rice; and boil it in two cups of water; then add, while the rice is hot, butter, sugar, eggs well-beaten, nutmeg a little salt, one glass of wine, raisins, currants, citron, and cream; mix well, pour into buttered dish and bake an hour in a oven heated to 350F.
