Red Cabbage No.2

- Salt
- Cider vinegar
Cut the cabbage, throw some salt upon it, and let it lie two or three days till it grows a fine purple; then drain it from the salt, put it into a pan with cider vinegar, and spice to your liking, and give it a scald. When it is cold, put it in your jars, and tie it close up.
