Raisin Spice Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoon spices
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup raisins
Cream the butter, add the sugar gradually, and beat the eggs and add them. Sift the flour, baking powder, and spices together, and add these alternately with the milk, adding the milk first. Fold in the raisins, pour the mixture into a loaf-cake pan, and bake. This cake can be served with icing or without icing.
