Pudding Sauce
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- butter
- Vanilla or lemon
Beat egg until very light, add sugar, and drop a few bits of butter on top. Wet cornstarch with a little cold water and turn upon it 1 cup boiling water to cook it. Turn this upon egg and sugar, stirring quickly all together. Flavor to suit. This is nice made with brown sugar and flavored with vanilla.
