Plain Pastry
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1-3 to 1/2 cup lard and butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ice water
Measure shortening and flour and chill. Add salt to shortening, rubbing it in well. Add water and mix with a knife. Roll very thin, handling as little as possible.
