Mixed Fruit Conserve
- 3 cups seeded cherries
- 3 cups diced rhubarb
- 3 cups chopped pineapple
- 2 1/2 cups diced peaches
- 5 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
- 2 tabelspoons grated orange rind
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 10 cups sugar (5 pounds)
Combine all ingredients, cook slowly while stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Pour into hot sterilized jars or glasses seal at once with hot melted paraffin.
