Meatloaf Falcone’s Style

  • Ingredients:
  • 2-1/2 – Lbs. total of combined ground Sirloin, Veal, & Pork. Mix well.
  • 3 – Tbsp olive oil. More if needed.
  • 2 – Eggs.
  • 1 – Cup Mushrooms, thinly sliced.
  • 1 – Onion, medium, minced.
  • 4 – Garlic cloves, minced.
  • 2 – Tbsp Worcestershire sauce.
  • 4 - Tbsps Ketchup.
  • 1/ 2 – Cup plain bread crumbs.
  • 3 – Tbsp fresh Parsley, chopped fine.
  • 1-1/2 – tsp. Salt.
  • 1 - tsp. White pepper.
  • 1 – tsp. Black fresh ground pepper.
  • Serves: 4
Directions: Bake @ 350` F. for 1 – hr. or until brown on top.
1. Mix meat with all the above ingredients. Let set 2 – hours or over night in freg. Make sure to cover with plastic wrap. Use a bread pan…or a glass Pyrex cake dish to bake in. Your call.
2. After 40 –minutes of baking. Add your sauce that goes over the top of the meatloaf. This sauce is up to you. Continue to bake until done. If you add the sauce at the beginning of baking it will burn. Add when half done.
3. Use a semi-thick tomato sauce…or lite bar-b-q-sauce, onion sauce, brown sauce, plain ketchup, or a mushroom sauce. Whatever you like.
4. Traditionally meatloaf is covered with a thick tomato sauce that contains chopped sautéed onions. Personally I don’t much care for it.
5. Additional: You can add thinly sliced mushrooms to your meat loaf if you like. Meatloaf is a bland dish. Use you imagination and come up with what you like. That’s what cooking is all about.

Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, & a fresh veggie.
