Marshmallow Frosting

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • whites of 3 eggs
  • 20 marshmallows
Cook sugar and water till it threads well. Melt marshmallows over teakettle. Pour syrup over eggs, well-beaten, add marshmallows, and a pinch of tartaric acid.
