Lemon Drops No. 1
- 3 fresh lemons
- 1 pound of treble-refined sugar
Take the juice of three fresh lemons, strained fine, and mix it with a pound of treble-refined sugar, beaten and sifted through a lawn sieve. Beat them together for about an hour; it will make them white and bright; then drop them upon writing paper, and dry them before the fire, or in the sun.
