Kidney Bean Loaf
- 1 cup kidney beans
- 2 1/2 cups boiled rice
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon onion juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup corn flakes, crushed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
Mix beans, rice, nuts, milk, eggs, corn flakes and seasoning in a bowl. Turn into a greased loaf pan, pour melted butter on top and bake in a moderately cool oven, at 300°F, about 40 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
