Huckleberry Pudding
- Huckleberries
- Bread, buttered and squared
- sugar and water syrup
Boil berries in syrup, and when hot to the point of boiling pour atop bread and butter squares. Put in to a deep dish, so that bread is entirely covered with juice and berries, and let cool through and through. Serve with cream. Bread should be about 2 inches thick.
