Hot Almond Pudding
- 1/2 pound ground almonds
- 1/2 pound sugar
- 1/2 pound suet
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pound flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 ounce currants
- 2 ounce raisins
- 1 ounce preserved cherries
- A little angelica
- A little ground mace
- 1/2 nutmeg, grated
- A few drops almond extract
The suet must be chopped fine. Add all the other ingredients and work them together for approximately ten minutes, so that all is well mixed. Boil for 3 hours or more.
