Ham Steak au Porto
- Smoked ham steak, 3/4-inch thick
- Butter
- 3 slices of pineapple
- 1/2 cup port wine
- Pineapple slices
- Maraschino Cherries
- Sweet potatoes
Fry a smoked ham steak, 3/4-inch thick, in butter. When brown on both sides, put 3 slices of pineapple on top and pour 1/2 cup port wine over it. Cook in oven for about 15 minutes (be patient, you rascal). When done, put steak on platter. Fill centers of pineapple slices with maraschino cherries and pour port wine gravy over all. Surround with grill sweet potatoes.
