Guava Jelly

  • 3 quarts of red guavas
  • Lemon
  • Sugar
Wash fruit and slice. Cover with water and boil gently for 2 hours. Strain. When cold, measure juice and to each pint, allow 12 ounces of sugar and 1 Tbsp of lemon juice. Return to fire and boil gently for 1 1/2 hours or until a little of the liquid jells quickly on a plate.
