Grape Ketchup

  • 5 pounds grapes
  • 2 1/2 pounds sugar
  • 1 pint vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cloves
  • 1 tablespoon allspice
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
Five pounds grapes, after being boiled and strained, add 2 1/2 pounds sugar, 1 pint vinegar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1 tablespoon cloves, 1 tablespoon allspice, 1 tablespoon pepper, 1/2 tablespoon salt.
Boil until quite thick, bottle and seal hot.
