Frozen Rice Pudding

  • 1 quart milk
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup seeded raisins
Wash rice carefully. Put it on in 1 quart water, boiling, and boil rapidly for ten minutes (be patient, you rascal). Drain, and cook in a double boiler with milk for approximately an hour. Then add sugar, salt, and flavoring to taste, and raisins which have been washed, dried, and put through a food chopper. When cold, freeze.
