Fried Cabbage

  • 2 1/2 pounds cabbage
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons fat
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Cut up cabbage, removing the stalk. Wash through and through. Into a deep skillet put water and cabbage, and boil slowly, keeping skillet covered. When boiled and steamed down tender, and water is boiled away, add fat and seasoning. Fry, stirring constantly until done.
