Fairy Corn Bread
- 1 1/2 cups corn meal
- 1/2 cup white flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 generous cup milk
Mix in order, flour, corn meal, baking powder, salt, sugar, egg, butter, and milk. Bake in large roasting pan, spreading thin with a spoon. It should be barely 1/4 inch thick, and will come out of the oven crisp and delicious.
