Dough Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup raised bread dough
- 1 cup chopped raisins (seeded)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- A little nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
Mix the dough and butter thoroughly with the hand, then the sugar, then the eggs; add the fruit last. Be careful not to let it stand to rise up, but put it in a bread pan as soon as mixed and bake for about an hour in a oven heated to 350F.
