Date Cake
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup lard
- 1/2 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- Filling:
- 1 pounds dates
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup hot water
Filling: Roll paste out quite thin, spread date filling between two layers and cook together, and let cool.
