Cracker Pudding
- 10 crackers rolled
- A piece of butter
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups stoned raisins
- 1 cup currants
- Citron, cinnamon, nutmeg and little flour (1 Tablespoon)
Soak crackers in 1 quart milk over night. In the morning add well-beaten eggs, sugar, raisins, currants citron, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour and salt. Steam four or five hours.
Sauce for cracker pudding:
One cup sugar, one egg beaten to a froth; pour one cup hot milk over it, little salt. Flavor with wine or brandy.
