Corn Meal Rolls
- 1 1/4 cups wheat flour
- 3/4 cup corn meal
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
Sift together dry ingredients and rub butter into them. Add beaten egg and milk, using more milk if necessary to make a soft dough. Roll out onto a flour-covered surface, handling lightly. Cut with biscuit cutter and fold like Parker House rolls. Bake in a quick oven.
