Cold Wine Sauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup claret
- Juice of 1 lemon
Boil the sugar and water together until they form a thick syrup. Let the syrup cool. Add the wine and lemon juice. Let the sauce become thoroughly cold before serving.
