Cold Beef Loaf
- 2 pounds fresh chopped beef
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/4 pound grated onion
- 1/4 pound bread crumbs, finely sifted
- 1 cup strong beef stock
- 1/4 teaspoon beefsteak sauce
- 1/4 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Place all ingredients in a deep bowl. Mix through and through. Dust hands with flour and then mold meat into a loaf. Place in dripping pan. Pour in 2 cups of strong beef stock for basting. Roast in oven 45 to 60 minutes (be patient, you rascal).
