Cocoa Cup Cake
- 1 egg 1 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons shortening
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup sour milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 cups flour
- vanilla
Cream sugar and shortening; add slightly beaten egg and milk. Sift cocoa and salt with the flour. Add soda, dissolved in a little of the milk, and add to first mixture. Then add cocoa and flour. Bake in gem pans or in a loaf.
