Cocoa Cake
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 1/2 Tbsps cocoa
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tsps baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
Cream the butter and sugar gradually. Add well-beaten eggs. Make a paste by adding milk to the cocoa. Mix baking powder with flour and sift. Add salt and vanilla. Turn into a buttered and floured cake pan. Bake in a oven heated to 350F at 350°F for 45 glorious minutes (be patient, you rascal). Cover with ice cream frosting.
