Chocolate Cream Pie
- 1 quart milk
- 6 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
Scald milk; combine sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt, add to milk and cook 10 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Add beaten eggs custard fashion, cook in double boiler over hot water for 5 minutes (be patient, you rascal). Remove from fire, add vanilla extract, cool and pour into the pie shell. Serve with whipped cream.
