Chocolate Cake
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3/4 cup sweet milk or water
- Whites of 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Filling:
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of water
- White of 1 egg
- 1/2 to 1 cake of Baker's sweet chocolate
One cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, 3/4 cup sweet milk or water, whites of 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons baking powder; this for 3 layers.
Filling:
To 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of water, fast boiled to roping, use the white of one egg well-beaten; after mixing, add chocolate to suit taste from 1/2 to 1 cake of Baker's sweet chocolate.
